All application materials must be received by the Admissions Office byJune 1 for the Fall Semester or October 15 for the Spring Semester.
Each international application is handled on a case-by-case basis. There are no automatic admissions. Those students who are admitted generally have good high school marks (or the equivalent).
The SAT is not required of any international applicant.
The Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) is required of any student whose native language is not English. A paper-based score of at least 500 or a computer-based score of at least 173 or an internet-based score of 61 is required. You may be admitted without TOEFL scores contingent upon participation in a college language training program designed and approved to meet your individual needs.
We are strict about transcripts. We will NOT accept transcripts which are not original documents, unless it is a copy that is certified by the registrar or other appropriate official from that school. We do not accept notarized copies.
Yes. We need the original in the original language, and an English translation certified by an appropriate authority.
Unfortunately, there is no financial aid available for incoming international students. You should be prepared to finance your entire period of study at Eastern from personal funds or from other sources. Also, the Immigration and Naturalization Service strictly regulates off-campus employment.
