Housing Reservations

Making Your Residence Hall Reservation

Follow these important steps to reserve a room.
(Remember, if your plans change please notify the Housing Office by July 15 for Fall Semester and December 15 for Spring Semester.)
Step One
Complete a Residence Hall License Agreement and Application in Your Gila Hanks Student Access Portal.
  • Indicate roommate preference.
  • Indicate Residence Hall preference:
    • Residence Towers (separate female and male communities)
    • Mark Allen Hall North (male)
    • Mark Allen Hall South (female)
    • Nellie Lee Hall (female)
    • Wesley Taylor Hall – Fine Arts Dorm
Step Two
Pay the $150 Reservation Deposit
The $150 reservation deposit reserves a space in a residence hall. If a resident does not check into a hall during scheduled check-in days, deposit will be refunded if:
Resident cancels on or before July 15 for Fall Semester or December 15 for Spring Semester; Resident has not been assigned to campus housing space and asks to be removed from the reservation list.
Reservation deposits are not refunded if reservation is canceled after the deadline dates described above or resident is a no-show for check-in.
Step Three
Submit Residence Hall License Agreement and Application
You will be placed on the “housing reservation list” by date of receipt of the above items. You will be notified when you are assigned to available space.
Upon assignment to a hall, you will receive subsequent emails, which include more information about campus living.
Step Four
Register for a minimum of 6 credit hours.
You must be registered for a minimum of 6 credit hours to be eligible to live in the dorms.
If you are not registered for at least 6 credit hours by the fourth Monday in July for fall semester and the third Monday in December for spring semester your housing assignment will be automatically canceled and your bedspace will be given to the next person in line on the waiting list.
If your housing assignment is canceled, you will be placed on the waiting list and may not be able to get back into your selected dorm. Dont let this happen to you! Be sure you are registered for at least 6 credit hours by the date due.
All housing confirmations, assignments, check in packets, etc. will be sent to your Monster Email.
