Valuable Experiences, Flexible Hours

Eastern Arizona College administers paid work-study programs both on and off campus that provide valuable experiences with flexible hours.

These positions function like a typical job, with a few unique advantages:

  • Supervisors work with you to schedule hours around your class commitments.
  • Opportunities are available both on campus and with approved community employers off campus.
  • Most positions do not require specialized experience, making them an excellent way to develop new skills.
  • Work-study employment provides valuable professional experience and helps build strong workplace habits.
Apply for a Work Study Position
Step 1

Complete your current FAFSA and submit all required documentation.

Step 2

Enroll in eligible courses for the current or upcoming semester.

Step 3

Email workstudy@eac.edu to confirm your Federal Work-Study (FWS) or Institutional Work-Study (IWS) eligibility.

Step 4

Apply by submitting the work-study application and/or resume directly with the listed supervisor and copy Careers@eac.edu.

Step 5

If selected for a position, complete all hiring and onboarding requirements with Human Resources before beginning work.

Federal Work-Study

Federal Work-Study (FWS) is a federally funded employment program available to students who have displayed financial need as calculated by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid or FAFSA®.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Possess a high school diploma, GED, or recognized homeschool completion credential.
  • Complete the current academic year’s FAFSA and list Eastern Arizona College as your school.
  • Demonstrate financial need as determined by your Student Aid Index (SAI).
  • Be admitted to and actively pursuing a declared degree or certificate program.
  • Maintain enrollment in at least 6 eligible credit hours each semester.
  • Meet Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) requirements.

Institutional Work-Study

Institutional Work-Study (IWS) is and institutionally funded employment program available to enrolled students who are looking to offset the costs of their education.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Possess a high school diploma, GED, or recognized homeschool completion credential.
  • Complete the current academic year’s FAFSA and list Eastern Arizona College as your school.
  • Maintain enrollment in at least 6 eligible credit hours each semester
