Earn College Credits in High School at EA

As a high school student, you can take college courses through Eastern Arizona College’s dual and concurrent enrollment programs at $70 a credit. Allowing you to graduate from both high school and college at the same time!

Which Program is Right for You

Both dual enrollment and concurrent enrollment are a cost-effective way for high school students to get a head start on college. However, each program and it’s corresponding courses abide by different requirements.

Dual Enrollment

Dual Enrollment allows high school students to enroll in college courses offered at their high school campus, taught by college certified instructors, to fulfill both high school and college graduation requirements. Courses vary by high school to help students achieve their post-secondary certificate and/or degree goal.

Concurrent Enrollment

Concurrent enrollment allows high school student to enroll in college courses offered at EA’s Thatcher campus to fulfill both high school and college graduation requirements. Concurrent enrolled students must meet the seat hour requirements at their high school.

How to Enroll and Pay

  1. Meet with your high school counselor to determine the best path for you
  2. Get admitted into EA
    Apply Now!
  3. Determine Placement and Course Requirements
    – Placement testing appointments can be made online or by contacting the Testing Center at (928) 428-8491 or testingcenter@eac.edu. Please visit the EA Testing Services page for more information.
    Schedule an Exam
  4. Submit High School Transcript to EA
    – Official transcripts can only be sent by your high school. Please work with your institution’s counselor to have transcripts sent through the proper channels.
  5. Complete the High School Student Enrollment Form

  6. Activate your MyEAC and Monster Mail Accounts
  7. Complete the FERPA form (Family Educational Rights & Privacy Act) for students under the age of 18
  8. Register & Pay for classes online through MyEAC OR  in person at EA’s Business Administration Division in the Student Services Building
