Eastern Arizona College Teen Theatre presents a community opportunity Hosting auditions for upcoming play Adventure by JD Atkins

THATCHER, Ariz.— Eastern Arizona College’s (EAC) Teen Theatre group is excited to announce auditions for its upcoming play, “Adventure” by JD Atkins. Auditions will take place Aug. 1, at 5:30 p.m., in the Activities Center – Lee Little Theater (LLT), with callbacks scheduled for Aug. 2, at 5:30 p.m., at the same location.

Community members aged 14 and older are encouraged to participate. “I would really love to have interested adult community members sign up to participate alongside the young adults in Teen Theatre,” said the director, Kathy Hoeft. “I know there are lots of theatre alums in the Gila Valley that might enjoy a little community theatre, as well!”

“Adventure” welcomes audiences aboard the Starship Adventure, where Captain Adrian Key and the Galactic Voyagers embark on their 100th mission. However, High Command’s decision to turn the Adventure into a cruise ship for tourists sets off a series of unexpected events. The plot thickens when a mysterious computer malfunction threatens their final journey, making for an unforgettable adventure.

Registration is free. Rehearsals will be held on weekdays from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the LLT. The performances are scheduled for September 25-28, 2024, at 6:30 p.m., in the LLT.
