Eastern Arizona College has named Abe Tizaf as the new head coach of its men’s soccer program.
Tizaf brings more than a decade of coaching and playing experience to EA, with a record of building competitive programs grounded in development, character, and community engagement. He most recently served as head men’s soccer coach at Pellissippi State Community College and has also coached at Young Harris College and Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College, where he launched the men’s soccer program in 2017 and led the team to a national tournament appearance.
“Abe’s experience and leadership stood out throughout our search,” said Paul Demuth, EA’s athletic director. “He has a proven ability to develop student-athletes both on and off the field, and we’re excited to see where he takes the program.”
Tizaf has earned multiple coaching honors, including USCAA National Coach of the Year and two Southeast District Coach of the Year awards. At the high school level, he led Terre Haute South High School to a sectional championship in 2015, setting a new program record for wins.
A former professional player in Morocco with more than 120 appearances for KACM Marrakech, Tizaf holds advanced degrees in leadership development, recreation and sport management, and coaching soccer. He also serves on the Faith-Based Coaches Strategy Team, advocating for integrity and holistic athlete development.

“I’m honored to join the Eastern Arizona College family,” Tizaf said. “There’s a strong foundation here, and I look forward to building something special with our players, staff, and community.”
