THATCHER, Ariz. — Eastern Arizona College and The University of Arizona Global Campus (UAGC) have launched a partnership that expands access to bachelor’s degree pathways for students throughout the region, creating new opportunities for learners to continue their education through flexible online programs designed for working adults.
The partnership connects EA students, employees, and eligible family members with online degree programs designed to support continued education.
“This partnership gives our students access to more bachelor’s degree options,” said Todd Haynie, president of Eastern Arizona College. “Many of our students balance work, family, and other responsibilities, and this provides another flexible way to earn an affordable degree. We are proud to partner with UAGC to help more students earn degrees, advance their careers, and strengthen our local workforce.”
Under the agreement, eligible participants will have access to a reduced tuition rate of $295 per credit for bachelor’s degree programs, which amounts to savings of approximately $4,950 per year*. Tuition benefits are also available for select graduate programs, supporting continued education and the development of career-relevant skills.
“Since being given authority to offer bachelor’s degrees, EA has developed six degree granting programs aligned with local needs,” said Keith Alexander, Chief Government Relations Officer. “For other degrees without a sufficient number of students to support a standalone program, UAGC offers an excellent way for local students to earn their degrees at home, and at a greatly reduced cost.”
The partnership includes aligned transfer pathways and coordinated support services that help students move from an associate degree to a bachelor’s degree with clarity and confidence. By focusing on continuity and accessibility, the collaboration supports students from enrollment through completion.
“We are proud to partner with UAGC to help more students earn degrees, advance their careers, and strengthen our local workforce.”
“This partnership reflects a shared commitment to student success and educational access,” said Amy Rogers, director of Strategic Partnerships at UAGC. “Eastern Arizona College has served Arizona learners for more than 135 years, and together we’re creating flexible pathways that help students continue their academic journeys and achieve their professional goals.”
This effort reflects a broader focus on strengthening educational opportunities across Arizona. Together, UAGC and Eastern Arizona College are helping more students pursue their educational goals while preparing for success in today’s workforce.
