EAC’s Spring Jazz Concert set to enchant audiences

Thatcher, Ariz.—The spring air will be filled with the lively sounds of jazz on Friday, April 19, 2024, as Eastern Arizona College’s Jazz Band takes the stage at the Activities Center – Lee Little Theater for a memorable 7 p.m. performance. Admission is free to all.

Under the expert direction of EAC’s director of bands, Geoff DeSpain, the Jazz Band will perform a diverse program featuring classic and contemporary pieces that promise to captivate and entertain. DeSpain remarked, “This is a fantastic band, and this will be an amazing show.”

  • Strike Up the Band and Birdland, iconic pieces by George and Ira Gershwin, and Josef Zawinul respectively
  • Cry Me A River featuring vocalist Liam Harlan
  • It Had To Be You, a duet by Anne Bigler and Liam Harlan
  • The Chicken by Alfred James Ellis
  • America the Beautiful, arranged by Ray Charles and featuring Chase Moore
