Easy Enrollment Steps

 

Eastern Arizona College Welcomes You!

Step 1: Get Admitted

A. Apply online – it’s Free!
B. Send an official transcript

Official transcripts must be sent directly from your high school or previous college. Please send transcripts to:

C. Upload Identification

Go to your Gila Hank Account and click: Documents > Upload Documents > Records

Step 2: Prepare Your Payment Methods

A. FAFSA

Every student should complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to unlock access to Pell grants, veteran funding, work-study jobs, and scholarships.

    • Opens December 1.
    • EAC’s code is 001073.

B. EAC Scholarships
    • Academic: based on academic excellence
    • Athletic and Performing Arts: based on performance, selected by coaches and directors

Log in to your Gila Hank Account; click “Financial,” then click “Scholarships” link.

    • Official high school transcripts (or unofficial college transcripts), a personal essay, and two letters of recommendation are required.
    • Priority consideration is given to applications received by December 31. Scholarship deadline is March 1.
    • Complete FAFSA by March 1.

C. Waivers
Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE)
    • Students from these states are eligible for discounted tuition: Alaska, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington, Wyoming, American Samoa, Marshall Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, Palau, and Guam.

New Mexico Tuition Waiver

    • New Mexico residents may be eligible for in-state tuition rates.

To Apply for a tuition waiver: Log in to your Gila Hank Account; click “Financial,” then click “Waivers” and select appropriate waiver. For priority consideration please register for classes as soon as possible prior to the semester you plan on attending.

D. Manage Payment Methods

My Financial Aid (MyFA): MyFA contains all your financial aid information including scholarships and financial aid. Questions? Call the Financial Aid Office at (928) 428-8287.


Step 3: Register for Classes

A. Placement Evaluation

To prepare to meet with an advisor, please submit:

  • Official high school transcripts and/or
  • ACT or SAT scores

Once we receive your transcripts, the Testing Center will determine whether you are ready to enroll in classes or if you need to take a placement assessment. Questions? Call the Testing Center at (928) 428-8491.

B. Meet with an Advisor

Our advisors help you identify your academic goal and develop an educational plan to achieve it. Having a plan makes it easier to choose your classes each semester and may save you time and money.

Step 4: Pay for Classes

A. Payments

Classes must be secured by payment prior to each semester. Additional funds due can be paid at once or with a payment plan.

B. Set up a Payment Plan

It’s easy to set up a monthly payment plan.

  • Go to your Gila Hank account and click: Financial > Pay > Payment Options.
C. Select a Refund Option

Select a refund option so EAC can return any remaining funds once your account is settled. To request funds be deposited directly to your bank account, call the Cashier. Otherwise, your funds will be available by check. Questions? Call the Cashier at (928) 428-8221.
