Our Associate of Arts in Sports Medicine Professions prepares students to pursue a major in athletic training, wellness, kinesiology, and other related sports medicine fields at a four-year institution. This degree meets the requirements for the first two years of a bachelor’s program at Arizona’s public and many other universities. You can transfer with junior status after building a solid academic foundation in small, stimulating classes taught by quality faculty offered at a highly affordable tuition cost. You are encouraged to work closely with an academic adviser and consult the official transfer guide to ensure you are on the correct course to maximize transferability.
A Physical Therapy Technician can work in a variety of healthcare settings such as health practitioners’ offices, general medical and surgical hospitals, or inpatient and outpatient therapy clinics. Under the close supervision of a physical therapist or physical therapy assistant, Physical Therapy Technicians perform delegated, selected, or routine tasks in specific situations. These duties include preparing patients and treatment areas.
We offer two routes to earn the Physcial Therapy Technician Certificate (PTTC). The PTTC is embedded in the Sports Medicine Professions AA. Additionally, high school students with junior or senior status can earn the certificate through the Gila Institute for Technology.
We partnered with the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) to offer a certified personal trainer certificate. Our Personal Trainer Certificate is a stackable credential. Upon completion of the certificate, you can work toward an Associate of Applied Science in General Technical Studies or an Associate of Arts in Personal Training.
