What do Mammography Technologists do?
Mammography technologists perform specialized imaging exams to detect and diagnose breast diseases, including cancer. They work closely with patients, preparing them for procedures, positioning them correctly, and ensuring high-quality images are captured. These professionals also maintain and operate mammography equipment, follow radiation safety protocols, and assist in patient education and follow-up care. Tasks are performed in a variety of settings, including hospitals, diagnostic imaging centers, outpatient clinics, and private practices.

Convenient Class Schedule
The curriculum utilized for this 4-day course, established by the American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT) and Mammography Educators, satisfies the MQSA’s 40-hour initial training requirement. It comprises 32 hours of initial mammography coursework, 8 hours of Digital Breast Tomosynthesis (DBT), a brief overview of breast sonography, and an introduction to bone densitometry, all designed to support skill development. Additionally, this course covers all ARRT Mammography exam content specifications. Hands-on positioning workshops will be available, offering the opportunity to work one-on-one with instructors. The week concludes with a registry review conducted in an interactive and engaging learning style.
At the completion of this Mammography course, participants will be able to:
