EAC attends Future Business Leaders of America Collegiate Fall Leadership Conference

Future Business Leaders of America, Inc. (FBLA), the nation’s largest career and technical student organization focused solely on business, hosted its Collegiate Fall Leadership Conference (CFLC) last month at Arizona State University. The one-day conference allows students to develop business and leadership skills, attend learning workshops, explore career opportunities, apply classroom concepts in a workforce-simulated competitive environment, and meet with representatives from colleges and universities. Students are also able to network with other members from across the state.

Two EAC business students competed at the leadership conference against students from ASU and Phoenix College. Ulises Izazaga, of Willcox, a business administration major, placed 3rd in Job Interview (a performance event) and 2nd in Foundations of Accounting (an objective exam).

Michael Frantz, of Safford, a business entrepreneurship major, placed 2nd in Job Interview (a performance event) and 3rd in Entrepreneurship Concepts (an objective exam).

“This conference is transformative for any college student and students from any major can participate in FBLA Collegiate,” said EAC business professor, Mike Fox. “The program is still growing and we hope to take a larger team to the Winter Leadership Conference as our EA students are well equipped to compete at the state level.”

Fox is the program advisor and can be reached at michael.fox@eac.edu for additional information or to become part of FBLA at EA.
