The Eastern Arizona College Campus Police Department will conduct a multiagency incident drill on Thursday, Nov. 17, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Thatcher Campus’ Academic Programs Building. The drill is intended to simulate a scenario involving a threat which will have occurred on campus.
To accommodate this drill, the parking lot on the east side of the Academic Programs building will be temporarily closed to the public. Residents in the area should expect an influx of law enforcement and first responders. Those who have subscribed to the EAC Omnilert system will be notified that a drill is in process.
“It is critically important for local agencies to work and train together in preparation for complex situations,” said Lance Lines, EAC police officer. “We are grateful that area agencies are coming together to help keep our communities safe.”
Participating agencies include: AirEvac, Eastern Arizona College EMS, Eastern Arizona College Police Department, Fort Thomas Fire Department, Graham County Sheriff’s Office, Lifeline, LifeNet, Mt. Graham Regional Hospital, Pima Fire Department, and Thatcher Fire Department.
