Eastern Arizona College currently administers two student employment programs:
The purpose of work study programs is to help students who have a demonstrated financial need contribute financially toward their college education; and to assist the college in performing duties that do not require full-time employees.
Work Study is treated as any other job, but it does have some differences:
Work Study Application Steps
1. Stop by or call the Financial Aid Office to verify if you are eligible for a work study job.
2. View the current work-study job openings.
3. Apply to the chosen department(s) by turning in a work study application to the supervisor listed or emailing it to the supervisor as an attachment.
4. Once you have been hired, you will need to view the FERPA training presentation.
After viewing the training, a copy of your application and a signed FERPA confidentiality agreement must be turned in to the Financial
Aid Office.
5. Complete an employee payroll packet at the Fiscal Control Office.
6. Arrange work schedule with supervisor. Do not begin working until you have confirmed that your supervisor has received approval from the payroll administrator.

Federal Work Study (FWS) Eligibility Requirements

Work study employees will work an average of 6 to 9 hours each week, depending on the supervisor’s availability. Time sheets are due on the 15 th and 30th of each month and students will receive a paycheck on the 7th and the 22nd of each month. Work study hours cannot exceed 19.5 hours per week.

FERPA Training & Confidentiality Agreement
Once a student has been hired for a Work Study position, the student will
need to view the FERPA training presentation.
