Center for Teaching and Learning
The CTL is an initiative that is led by faculty for faculty and staff, with strong
institutional support. It provides an interactive framework to support the college’s
strategic goal of enhancing teaching and learning at each campus. The CTL is a place
for open dialogue, experimentation, and innovation that enhances institutional effectiveness
and academic achievement.
Goals:
- To enhance both adjunct and full-time faculty professional development
- To support innovation in teaching and learning
- To promote the use of technology to enhance teaching and learning
- To assist faculty in the development of methods to assess student learning
- To provide training to faculty in their role as academic advisors
- To provide opportunities for collegial interaction
- To provide specific training and support for new adjunct and full-time faculty
