Step 1: Get Admitted

Applying to EAC is Free!

Use one of these simple ways to apply.

If applying in person, be sure to bring proof of citizenship and call ahead to find out which documents fulfill this requirement. Official transcripts must come directly from the high school or previous college.

Step 2: Prepare Your Payment Methods

FAFSA
    • Grants are not paid back.
    • Work Study: on-campus jobs.

Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) starting October 1.

    • EAC's code is 001073.
    • FAFSA applications submitted by December 1 receive priority consideration.

The results of the FAFSA report your Estimated Family Contribution (EFC) — the amount you are expected to put toward your cost of attending EAC.

 

EAC Scholarships
    • Academic: based on academic excellence
    • Athletic and Performing Arts: based on performance, selected by coaches and directors

Log in to your Gila Hank account; click "money" to locate the scholarship application link; click "start" to answer the questions.

    • Transcripts, a personal essay, and two letters of recommendation are required
    • A completed FAFSA is required to be considered for scholarships
    • FAFSA applications are due by March 1

 

Waivers
  • Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE)
    Students from these states are eligible for discounted tuition: Alaska, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming.
    To Apply: Print WUE form along with required documentation, and return to Records Office.

 

    • New Mexico Tuition Waiver
      New Mexico residents may be eligible for in-state tuition rates.

      To Apply: Log in to your Gila Hank account; click "money" to locate the waivers link; click "start" to answer the questions. For priority consideration you should register for classes as soon as possible prior to the semester you plan on attending.

 

LOOK! Use your Gila Hank account to access the EAC Net Price Calculator and Cost Calculator. You can compute your specific costs and financial aid package on it!

 

Step 3: Schedule Academic Advising

Academic Advising is strongly reccomended!

Our advisors help you identify your academic goal and develop an educational plan to achieve it. Having a plan makes it easier to choose your classes each semester and may save you time and money.

Call the EAC Counseling Office at (928) 428-8425 to schedule an appointment.

 

Step 4: Secure Your Housing

Apply for on-campus housing

Housing options are limited on-campus and near-campus - especially for the fall semester - so make arrangements as early as possible. On-campus housing space is assigned on a first-come, first-served basis, based on the date you submit a housing application and $150 reservation deposit.

If you are choosing to live on-campus, please submit a Housing Application and $150 deposit by logging into your Gila Hank account and clicking the "Housing & Meals" link at the top of the page. The housing application is accessed by clicking "Housing Options."
