It had been 40 years
or so since they were at EAJC? What a glorious time it was! The
friendships they'd made and cultivated were renewed during this reunion weekend. Who
could forget freshman initiation, the car stuffing contests and
driving to Safford to the movies, boon dockers in the toolies
of Pima, Safford, and Thatcher, pulling all nighters to pass
exams, the great marching band, bus trips and "others" to
Phoenix College, dances and plays in the old gym, registering
for or attending classes in "Old Main", snow trips
to Mt. Graham,
the dedication of the south campus, class competition, Rival
Rock, Gila Hank, Monster Manor, The Pecan Grove Apts, Nellie
Lee Dorm, The Green Door, Hazel's, Coach Trotter as the "Dorm
Father", great yearbooks! What a grand start they had at ole EAJC!
