Thatcher, AZ—Eastern Arizona College will offer a fun, new media communications class this fall entitled, Recording Techniques for Voice Acting, MDC297B, section #0670. The class, taught by Gila Valley radio personality, Dan Curtis, promises to be technically and creatively challenging.
“Recording Techniques for Voice Acting will cover the basics of home studio recording and microphone techniques,” says Curtis. “With the digital technology available, a voice actor can work from anywhere with a laptop computer, a microphone, and an Internet connection.”
The course will cover the design and equipment needs of a home studio and participants will practice techniques of voice acting to develop confidence in their voice acting abilities. It has been designed to fit well with students interested in the theatre arts and other communications based curricula.
