Thatcher, AZ— Eastern Arizona College’s first “Day of Champions” service project was completed late last month by members of EAC’s Intertribal Club, Student Learning Center, and Admissions Office.

Participants cleaned the entrance to the park and pavilions at Dankworth Pods, a sub-unit of Roper Lake State Park.

Four loads of garbage, weeds, trees, bushes, grass, and debris were collected and removed.

“EAC was represented well today by the participants in this service project,” says James Pryor, EAC counselor and Intertribal Club advisor. “Our goal is to recruit over 100 campus and community members for next year’s ‘Day of Champions’ to give back to the Gila Valley.”
