EAC Symphonic Band to present concert April 30

Thatcher, AZ—Symphonic Band will present its Spring 2012 concert on Monday, April 30, 2012, at 7:30 p.m., in the EAC Fine Arts Auditorium. The concert is free to the public. This year’s concert will feature a direct orchestral transcription arranged for band of “The Sorcerer’s Apprentice.” The music performed will be from a wide variety of genres and difficulty, including: Light Cavalry Overture, Lux Aurumque, The Sorcerer’s Apprentice, Black and White Rag, Ignition, Ghost Train, Godspeed!, Sag Harbor Sunset, Symphonic Suite from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2, and Lassus Trombone.

“These students have been working incredibly hard to prepare the music that we will be performing for the community,” says band director Geoff DeSpain. “I am very proud of these kids and the work they have been doing.”
