Thatcher, AZ—The National Bank of Arizona has established a new business scholarship to assist Eastern Arizona College students in achieving a degree in business.

This full-tuition scholarship will be awarded to students who exhibit financial need and have at least a 3.0 GPA. Preference will be given to students returning to EAC for their sophomore year.

“The National Bank of Arizona is committed to being a good partner in the community. We are proud of the Gila Valley and work to improve the quality of life in our area,” says Tami Evans, manager of National Bank of Arizona’s Safford Branch.

David Udall, EAC Foundation and Alumni Association executive director says, “We’re very pleased to have our local bank exhibit this kind of generosity. Scholarship assistance to our local students provides life-changing opportunities for a brighter future. This new scholarship is even more valuable as we start a new partnership with Arizona State University for students to be able to obtain a Bachelor of Science in Business here in Thatcher.”

Those who would also like to help students in obtaining their degree in business or other areas of study can contact Udall at (928) 428-8295. Donations are also accepted directly at www.eac.edu/alumni/giving.
