Video Editing Production class offered at EAC

By Lori Dugan

Thatcher, AZ—Eastern Arizona College offered a media communications class last semester that was so popular it’s been added to the class schedule for this spring as well. Video Editing Production Practices (MDC 297, section #1099) will meet on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 to 8:20 p.m. The course has been designed to help students develop proficiency in working with a wide variety of readily available hardware, software, and techniques to produce video.

“With quality video capture, high resolution photography, and high quality audio now easily available to the average person, inspiring productions are readily attainable,” says the class instructor, Robert Rogers.

Projects will be of the student’s choosing and individual assistance will be available to assist in cultivating creativity, utilizing resources, and preparing the best presentation. “We have designed this course to not only introduce the tools of video production, but to show how to use them to put it all together to create the message they are trying to send,” says Rogers.
