EAC students attend PBL Regionals

Thatcher, AZ—Members of Eastern Arizona College’s Phi Beta Lambda (PBL) club joined counterparts in Tempe earlier this month from around the state at PBL Regionals, hosted by Arizona State University.
Caroline Perkins Esplin, of Central, placed first in Contemporary Sports Issues and third in Networking Concepts. Jacob Pearce, of Safford, placed second in Statistical Analysis and second in Economic Analysis and Decision Making. Jordan Borchert, of Coolidge, placed first in Sports Management and Marketing and second in Marketing Concepts. Jonathan D. Clavijo, of Guayaquil, Ecuador, placed second in Computer Concepts. Sarah Brisco, of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, placed first in Information Management and third in International Business.
“EAC finished strong in the competition,” said EAC business instructor and PBL advisor, Derek Rich. “These five members, as well as other members of EAC’s Phi Beta Lambda chapter, plan to attend the state leadership conference scheduled for spring 2012, and later the national leadership conference in San Antonio, Texas.”
