THATCHER, AZ—The swimming pool at Eastern Arizona College will open this summer on a limited basis beginning May 30 with the beginning of the College’s Summer Session I. College for Kids’ Competitive Swimming and Swimming Lessons, however, will be canceled for the entire summer.
“We recognize that the pool is an asset to the community and we want to make it available as much as possible for classes and the public,” said EAC Senior Dean Dr. Ron Keith.
“Unfortunately, due to ongoing maintenance issues, we have been forced to limit the use of the pool this summer. Should we be able to take care of needed repairs, we will consider changing the schedule.”
Two sections of Water Aerobics will be available beginning May 30: section #6036 will meet Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to Noon; and section #6037 will meet Monday through Thursday from 5 to 6:15 p.m.
One section of Beginning Swimming I will also be available; section #6057 will meet 10 to 11 a.m. Monday through Friday.
To register for these classes, call the Records and Registration Office at 428-8270 or register online with Gila Hank Online at www.eac.edu.
