New enhanced GED testing schedule adds one-day testing opportunities through 2011
By Lori Dugan
Thatcher, AZ—In response to public interest, EAC’s Counseling Department is adding single-day GED testing opportunities to its existing schedule of two-day administrations of the tests.
“Both options take about eight hours to complete,” says Jerri Lukens, EAC’s evaluation technician. “But the single-day schedule may be easier for students who need to take time off from work to come in and test.”
The eight-hour test will cost $70 and can be provided in a large print version for people who have vision problems and for those who request it. Candidates do not need to file a disability accommodation form in order to use this test – they need only request it when they register to take the test.
The EAC Discovery Park Campus Adult Education office offers a free GED pre-test. Candidates can call (928) 428-6260 to schedule a test and be informed of where their strengths and weaknesses are among the 5 GED test subjects. Candidates should call Lukens at (928) 428-8491 to pre-register to take the GED test. Space is limited, so those wishing to register are advised not to wait.
