THATCHER, AZ—Eastern Arizona College’s English Department will offer Power Vocabulary (ENG 161, section #0517) for the Spring 2010 semester, taught by Dr. Marilyn Wilton. The class will be held on Monday and Wednesday mornings from 11 to 11:50 a.m.

This is a personal interest course that serves as a two-hour English elective credit. “This is an ideal class for people who want to expand their vocabulary,” says Wilton, “whether they are community members or students. The course requires no major papers. Instead, the grade is based on daily exercises, quizzes, tests, a post-test, and one class presentation. Anyone who wants to develop a stronger vocabulary can greatly benefit from taking this course.”

To register for this class, contact the Records and Registration Office at 428-8270 or register online at www.eac.edu.
