THATCHER, AZ—Eastern Arizona College’s Black Student Union will host an Asthma Walk at Discovery Park Campus on Saturday, November 14, 2009, from 8-10 a.m. The free event will be enjoyable for all ages, with plenty of family fun and prizes.

The five-mile walk will follow the path from Discovery Park Campus to the Safford Cemetery. Along the way, EAC’s Nursing Student Association will sponsor stations with snacks and information about asthma.

In addition, the EAC Criminal Justice Student Association will be providing security throughout the event to insure that all participants stay safe.

“We’ve got a great bunch of kids in our Black Student Union this year,” says Thelma Brandon Davis, EAC Nursing Instructor and the club’s advisor. “They’ve elected to contribute the pledge funds raised from this event to help asthma awareness in local elementary schools.”

For more information about how to participate in this event, contact Davis at (928) 428-8212.
