THATCHER, AZ—Eastern Arizona College’s Education Department, in partnership with Safford City-Graham County Library, will host Dinosaur Days on Wednesday, October 7, 2009. The free event is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Safford City Annex (old library) building, located at 808 8th Ave in Safford.

EAC’s Early Childhood Education students will provide a variety of dinosaur related activities including dinosaur cookie decorating, reading, art, music, and games. The children will be allowed to rotate between the tables, and it will take about an hour to complete all of the activities. Parents should plan to stay with their children, and they do not need to bring anything to the event. Kids should wear comfortable clothing. Water will be provided.

“Children will have opportunities to create, express themselves through music and movement, play games and learn new things in the process,” says the Division Chair of EAC’s Social Sciences division, Jo Ann Morales.
