THATCHER, AZ—On Saturday, September 13, at 6:30 p.m., in the Jupiter Room of the Eastern Arizona College’s Discovery Park Campus, the Desert Stargazers Amateur Astronomy Club will provide a free special program titled Update on Phoenix Mission to Mars. Dave Etter, president of the club, will share up-to-date science on this mission sent to look for water in the northern latitudes of Mars.

“The program is suitable for all ages, so bring your scientists of tomorrow out to see and hear this very interesting slide lecture,” says Discovery Park Campus Dean Harry Swanson.

“As an added attraction, several of the slides presented by Etter will be three-dimensional,” says Swanson. “Glasses will be provided for this unique treat, so come on out and let the surface of Mars jump right out at you!”

For more information about the Discovery Park Campus or the Desert Stargazers Amateur Astronomy Club, contact Swanson at (928) 428-6260.
