THATCHER, AZ—To conclude Drowning Awareness Month, Dean Harry Swanson of the EAC Discovery Park Campus will enchant area children on Thursday, August 28, at 6:30 p.m. with a reading of his children’s story, “Oscar Otter Meets the Mayor,” a tale about water safety and how Oscar saves Polly Pub (who was not wearing her life preserver!) from drowning. This story takes place in the harbor town of Valdez, Alaska. and will delight young people from 5 to 12-years old.

Each participating child will be given their very own copy of this story to practice their reading skills with friends and family at home.

“We will start sharply at 6:30 p.m. in the Jupiter Room,” says Swanson. “Won’t you bring your children to this free event?”
