THATCHER, AZ—The “Discover Anthropology” lecture series continues at EAC’s Discovery Park Campus in Safford on Saturday, March 1, at 6:30 p.m., with Universal Themes Part II.
“This presentation will be similar to the part one format,” said EAC Dean Harry Swanson, who will also present the discussion. “We will be comparing aspects of the material cultures of the Southwest and Pacific Northwest Native Americans during the early modern era with old photographs by Edward Curtis, Winter & Ponds, and others. In this final look at universal expressions, we will examine musical instruments, beadwork, jewelry, dwellings, petroglyphs, and other items.”
This free cultural program is suitable for all ages. For more information about the series or the Discovery Park Campus, contact Swanson at (928) 428-6260.
