THATCHER, AZ—EAC students wishing to transfer to a university after graduating from EAC should plan on attending a free workshop series sponsored by the Counseling Department entitled, Slingshot to Success! The series will include four, one-hour workshops in the Game Room of the Activities Center. The next session is Feb 27 at 4:30 p.m.
Although the series is designed for first-year students who intend to transfer in the Fall 2009 semester, all students are welcome.
Presented by EAC English instructor Tracy Lassiter, each workshop will address a different topic related to important issues to consider when planning a transfer to a university.
The workshop schedule will be as follows:
• February 27 – How to pay for school at the next level
• March 26 – Networking and other strategies designed to increase your chances of being admitted to your chosen transfer program
• April 23 – Managing the paperwork required for successful admission
Students with questions should call the Counseling Department at 428-8253 or Lassiter at 428-4098.
