THATCHER, AZ—Eastern Arizona College is offering a new class—Beginning Mexican Cuisine—at Pima High School this fall. The class will meet on Tuesday evenings from 6-8 p.m. in the Family and Consumer Science room. Regular tuition and fees apply for the one-credit course. There is also an additional lab fee of $25 which will cover the cost of the food.

The class will be taught by Chef David Cluff, who graduated with a degree in Culinary Arts from Scottsdale Community College and completed his Bachelor’s Degree in hotel and restaurant management from Northern Arizona University in 2005.

“We’re going to learn to make tortillas, tamales, sopapillas, salsa, tamales and so much more,” said Cluff. “And at the end of each class, we’ll have a full meal and dessert!”
