THATCHER, AZ—On November 20, 2006, Eastern Arizona College’s Jazz Ensemble will take the Fine Arts Auditorium stage to present Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, and Something Blue, a collection of jazz music that will span its entire history. “We are going to really mix it up this year with performances by the ensemble, the combos, and some special vocal performances,” said Dr. Clay Redfield, EAC’s director of bands.

The free concert will include selections from the following repertoire: Strike up the Band, Nimbus, On the Sunny Side of the Street, Samba Del Gringo, Basically Blues, and more.

“This show is going to be a blast. We’re offering selections from Count Basie to The Rippingtons, and from Buddy Rich to the soundtrack from the motion picture The Incredibles” said Redfield. “It’s going to be fun for the whole family!” 30
