Thatcher, AZ— EAC’s English Department will host visiting poet Russell Ragsdale, former EAC student, for a workshop on Tuesday, April 22, from 3-4 p.m., in AP-269. A reading is also scheduled for that evening.

Ragsdale is a contemporary poet who has been writing since the 1960's. He is a graduate of Whittier High, in Wittier California, Eastern Arizona College, and the University of Arizona.

After college Ragsdale became an executive chef for a short while, and then moved to the Republic of Kazakhstan where he taught English at KIMEP University in Kazakhstan for seven years. “He considers himself an ordinary working guy afflicted with wanderlust and a love for words.” explains EAC English faculty, and coordinator of the series, Kenneth Raines.

Both events are free and open to the public. For more information contact Raines at (928) 428-8218 or at ken.raines@eac.edu
