Thatcher, AZ—Eastern Arizona College’s Black Student Union/Intertribal Club, is sponsoring a Black History celebration on Saturday, February 22, 2014, from 7-8:30 p.m., at the EAC Fine Arts Auditorium. The celebration, titled “Replanting Our Roots” will feature members of the Barbea Williams African Dance Troupe, of Tucson.

“The community responded so positively to the dancers visit to EAC in 2009, that we have invited them back again,” said Thelma Brandon-Williams, EAC Nursing instructor and co-adviser of the club. “This event will be fun for all ages and walks of life. This will definitely be an amazing chance to be exposed to a different cultural experience.”

Admission is $5/person; full-time EAC students will be admitted free with student ID. Tickets can be purchased at the door or by calling EAC’s Ticket Office at (928) 428-8228.
