EAC to host "The Morenci Marines" author Kyle Longley

Thatcher, AZ—Eastern Arizona College's History Department is pleased to host author, Kyle Longley for a discussion on his new book, "The Morenci Marines: A Tale of a Small Town and the Vietnam War," on Tuesday, January 28, 2014, at 7 p.m., in the EAC Activities Center ? Lee Little Theater. Admission is free.

"The book," says EAC history and political science instructor, Dr. Patrick Lukens, "is written about the young men who gained national notoriety when they joined the US Marine Corps together during the Vietnam War. Professor Longley will be doing a presentation of his work, open to all interested in this fascinating local history topic."

Longley is the Snell Family Dean's Distinguished Professor of history and political science at Arizona State University (ASU) as well as the associate director of ASU's School of Historical, Philosophical, and Religious Studies.
